Dr. Eppard

Meet Dr Eppard and her family!

Education

Dr. Holly Eppard grew up in the rural town of Stanardsville, VA and graduated from William Monroe High School in 1999. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2003. Following her undergraduate experience, she worked as a research technician in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Virginia. During this period, with the help of close friends, she realized that dentistry would provide a perfect combination for her love of science and interest in healthcare. Dr. Eppard received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2009. That same year, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. An interest in orthodontics began early in Dr. Eppard’s dental training. This led her to pursue a specialty program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She received both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Orthodontics from the West Virginia University Department of Orthodontics in 2012. Her training at WVU focused on incorporating treatment planning practices to optimize dental and facial esthetics. Following residency she returned to Central Virginia to work as an associate orthodontist with Dr. Robert A. Miller in Culpeper, Virginia for over two years. Dr. Eppard now enjoys living in the Culpeper community with her husband Scott, their two identical twin girls, Charli and Mila, and their son Colton.  Dr. Eppard feels privileged to be providing orthodontic care to such an amazing community of people.

She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Shenandoah Dental Society,  and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Dental Society.  Dr. Eppard is constantly learning and implementing new orthodontic treatment modalities to provide the best care possible for her patients.

Commitment to Community

Dr. Eppard is also committed to the Culpeper community and the surrounding counties of Orange, Madison, Louisa, Rappahannock, and Greene.  When not seeing patients, she can be spotted at local business events, high school sporting events and providing dental health awareness to the local school children.  The Tooth Fairy program at the local elementary schools has become a staple to promoting dental health awareness to the local youth.  During her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, hiking and most of all going to the beach. The majority of her spare time is consumed by raising her beautiful children, Charli, Mila and Colton. Dr. Eppard’s heart not only belongs to her family, but also to her English bulldog pups Harvey and Otto, the official office mascots!  Close proximity to her hometown allows Dr. Eppard to also enjoy spending time with family and friends.
