Education

Dr. Holly Eppard grew up in the rural town of Stanardsville, VA and graduated from William Monroe High School in 1999. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2003. Following her undergraduate experience, she worked as a research technician in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Virginia. During this period, with the help of close friends, she realized that dentistry would provide a perfect combination for her love of science and interest in healthcare. Dr. Eppard received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2009. That same year, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

An interest in orthodontics began early in Dr. Eppard’s dental training. This led her to pursue a specialty program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She received both a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Orthodontics from the West Virginia University Department of Orthodontics in 2012. Her training at WVU focused on incorporating treatment planning practices to optimize dental and facial esthetics. Following residency she returned to Central Virginia to work as an associate orthodontist with Dr. Robert A. Miller in Culpeper, Virginia for over two years. Dr. Eppard now enjoys living in the Culpeper community and is thrilled to be providing orthodontic care while living close to family and friends.
